..2008**I had a stroke in Nov 2006..had just driven back from Charlotte for the second time..did not feel tense or anything but I do feel it was because of my daughter having a white-out..I remember driving over to Taco-Bell and I was going to go to the cemetery but said I better go home..my children moved me to Charlotte..I am much better now..I did find someone else with amyotrophy but he only answered me and I havn't heard from him much..

..It seems I had been having a lot of problems with my health. It seems I always have. At age 39 I had a hysterectomy with problems..I was operated on twice..the second time as I was hemmoraghing..I am a free bleeder..they were supposed to have checked for that ..when I asked what happened they said they had not checked far enough..
..I was told I had adenomyosis..
..this operation helped me a great deal and for some years I seemed to do pretty good..I say I had 19 good years..though..I had problems at first..

..then all at once it seemed here we went again..I was being treated for bursitis..I had finally broken down and gotten a shot..it helped for a while..later I got another..but all at once I lost 30 pounds for no reason..I decided to change doctors..my children knew I was not feeling good and took me to my daughters..we were all to go to New York and I went back home to get my granddaughter..after returning I fell on a Tuesday night..Sunday I was in such pain I went to an ER..some scans were done showing nothing..
..I was in such pain I ended up at the ER 3 more times that week..I was diagnosed with arthritis..then I was sent to a pain clinic..somewhere in all this it was decided I had a herniated disk..I was told to do nothing..I was in the hospital for the 3rd nerve root block..my son in law was on the way to get me..I started crying...they asked what was wrong..I told them I was alredy hurting again..the nurse said she would see what she could do..they came back and told me I had a choice..
..I could stay and be operated on the next day or go home..I said I would stay..they had already prepped me for an operation..a priest and a pastor had come in to see me..the Dr who came in did not agree with the diagnosis..he sent me for an MRI..they came back and said NO OPERATION..I thought I was in heaven..little did I know..
..he thought I had diabetic neuropathy and amyothrophy..it was terrible..terrible..I was put on Oxycontin..Oxy-Ir..Neurontin..4 Advil at a time..there was a sleeping pill..the Oxy did seem to help but I was in such pain..the Oxy made me itch so I had to take Benadryl for that..and of course that makes you sleep..nothing would take the pain away..NOTHING..I ended up at my daughters from May until Thanksgivigg Day..
My daughter had said I would have to go in a home..my hubby said NO..he would take care of me..he did..but it was so hard on us..at one time I was taking 15 different meds..I could not do much of anything..I remember the first time I was able to bend over and pick something up..then I was put on Amitriptyline ..from what I understand I should have been put on this in the beginning..I finally had a day in early December with no pain..
..they refused my disability..the dumb doctor said I was noncompliant even though I was on all these meds..boy did I tell him off..I sent a letter to my lawyer about all that he had done to me..refusing to give me my prescriptions..my hubby should have done more with this..but he had so much to do..I think I did not get my disability because my hubby had a good job..
..I took Celebrex..Viox..and they had given me the Viox early on in the hospital..and..yes..I did have problems with my heart the 3rd time in the hospital..it was very scary..
..I did try to sue over all this..but..nothing ever happened..
..It seems I was told bad doctors do not a lawsuit make..
..This is what I have. Since the year of 2000 when I was originally told I have this I have found no one else with amyotrophy. I recently asked my neurologist if she had anyone else with this. The answer was no. She had a patient with it at one time..
