..one easy simple thing you can do is make some tissue paper flowers..at one time I had some of these that were huge in a vase in my living room..they were so pretty..I probably used the tissue paper uncut..this is the regular paper you use for wrapping presents..there too you can cut the edges in different ways..you could have some large ones where you come in your house and smaller ones on the table..they do not even need to be in a vase..make confetti with some paper..put some in a bowl..string some streamers..buy all colors of plates..napkins..cups..surprise your family..!!..

..this is my daughter's soup..it is so good..we always go out for Mexican and have it at home too..good..when I come she makes it with the vegetable broth and without meat...

Tortilla Soup

1 large V8 (the one you get in the Juice Isle that serves many)
1 large Hunts diced tomatos
1 small onion
3 cloves garlic
1 jalapeno or hotter pepper if you dare
2-3 mixed bell peppers
16 oz sour cream
8 oz sour cream
1 bunch cilantro, chopped a little, with stems removed (you should be able to still see the leaves
pepper to taste
Mexican hot sauce - I prefer Cholula.
small amount of olive oil
1-2 cans of chicken or vegtable broth
grated cheese
corn tortillas cut into thick strips
Boneless chicken, cooked and cut into cubes (optional

Pour V8, tomatos and broth into a crock pot and place on high. Saute onion, garlic and peppers in olive oil, add 1/2 cilantro in the last 30 seconds, then pour into soup mixture. If adding chicken, cook the chicken in the oil left in the pan, cube it, then add it at this point. Add pepper, hot sauce and 16 oz of sour cream to the soup and stir until blended. Cook in the crock pot until hot then reduce the heat to low.

Just before serving, stir in 1/2 of remaining cilantro saving a little for garnish. Toast cut up strips of tortillas in the oven.

In individual bowls, place a handful of toasted tortillas and a bit of shredded cheese. Spoon soup mix over this and garnish with small spoon of sour cream, cilantro and a bit of shredded cheese. Yummie!..

"Cinco de Mayo commemorates the victory of a Mexican army over a French army at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. The Mexican army, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza, won the battle even though the French force was better armed and three times as large. The battle occurred after Emperor Napoleon III of France sent troops to Mexico to conquer the country. Despite the Mexican victory at Puebla, the French later gained control of Mexico City and established a French-supported government there. In 1866 and 1867, however, France withdrew its troops from Mexico because of resistance by many Mexicans and pressure from the United States. The French-backed government soon fell. Cinco de Mayo is celebrated differently in different areas. For example, in Mexico, it may be observed with parades, festivals, music, and dancing. In the United States, celebrations often include parades, folk dancing, speeches, carnival rides, and Mexican music."
