..PRAISE GOD..

This is a picture of Marge Smith Ward in Narrowsburg NY at the grave of Andrew and Louise and George Kehl. To the right you can see a monument about 4ft tall. I am pretty sure this is the one with Martin Kehl and Anna Dodderl, the one I have looked for forever.
All of the Kehl headstones are in this same area.
This is in St Francis Cemetery. Near the School.

This is a picture of Uncle Andy Kehl in front of what I believe was the hotel he built. I am positive this is the one we use to go to. They lived in the back. It was real pretty there. Only open in summers. We have looked for this but can not find it, but we know we are in the right area.
Mom tells the story Andy and some other man had an ongoing contest to see who could build the biggest hotel. There was a lot more to it than this, In the back. For that time this was big.
I remember going over to Uncle Andy's. The hotel was on the left side as you went down the road. There was a white church on a corner before you got to it, we took our pictures there one Sunday while visiting, Grandma Brucher was with us. I do have a copy of the picture.
Aunt Louise was another who liked to bake, it would smell so good when we went there. I am sure we use to stop to see someone else on this road on the right side before you got to Andy's. It was a nice place. Always well kept. Seems like it had those brown wooden shingles. Mom is not sure who this was.
We use to go to a little country store that was down the road at the four corners. When Donna and I went over this way in 1992 we found what we thought was the little store, but, could not find where Uncle Andy had lived. Recently in the paper they had a picture of what I am sure was this store.
Theresa Kehl Smith's sister..Eva...her brother Andrew...Theresa and Andy and Aunt Louise are buried over in Narrowsburg in the Catholic Cemetery, St Francis.

Recently while in New York I found the stone for Martin Kehl his wife Anna Dodderl. This is the name I have searched and searched for. I had been there before and never noticed it, almost missed it this time. I just talked to mom again. She repeats the story of Anna Dodderl coming from Germany, living on 5th Ave. This could be so, perhaps the Smith family and the Dodderl family lived on 5th Avenue. She stated they came to the country for Anna's health, she died of TB. Mom says Martin re-married. Pauline was his second wife
These are names I wrote down, but, without the pictures I am confused, but, it may mean something later. Mom remembers dad going to Martin Kehl's funeral, she did not go. I believe this is what the headstone reads. I lost my pictures.

There is another picture of Theresa and mom says one who may be Theresa's sister Eva, she is not sure about it. Sure enough I could not find the pictures I put up to scan!
