This is a page my daughter made for me. Isn't it nice..??.. She bronzed all of the pictures and sized them..a family picture is on the bottom..of all 13 of us..there is a picture of both my Grandma Brucher and my mom holding me..two of me holding my daughter..I just love it..and for 5 years I have wanted a picture of all of us together..

..Quilting..I always wished I could quilt..my friend does..I can remember growing up we had this beautiful quilt..I am sure it was homemade..not sure who made it..it was shiny materials of all colors..we do not know what heppened to it..my grandma sewed a lot..but I donot remember any quilts..

If you have never bought your mom a mother's ring..buy her one this year..and now they seem to have other items..I bought myself a heart shaped necklace that has all of our birthstones in it..
One year I found mom a couple of good joke books. All at once she seemed to be into telling jokes! She has everything else. She really enjoyed them. Make up a scrapbook with pictures from her children, grandchildren. Stories or poems they write.

Flower Color Meanings..
Anna's mother had loved and cultivated carnations, therefore in May 1908 her Church dedicated a Mother's Day service. Everyone in attendance was presented with a carnation. RED blooms were worn if your mother was alive, WHITE if she was not. On this page it mentions YELLOW is worn if you are a bereaved mother.

While talking to my daughter she mentioned she and her daughter, not quite two, were working on Mother's Day cards the other day. Her hubby came home, asked what they were doing, she told him. A look of shock came over his face. WHEN IS MOTHER'S DAY? He asks? She tells him not to worry, it is not too late. He says whoever planned this did not do it right, they should have had Father's Day first, so the men could go ahead and get all their presents and not have to worry about forgetting Mother's Day...
This is their first year for this, they are celebrating...2000
This year there are two foster children too and the oldest one will get upset if they do not have a present. So I have sent dear ole dad a reminder..2001..
Be sure to give MOM the day off.
Last year my daughter gave me a book called Reflections from a Mother's Heart. You write stories in it. This asks questions such as What did you wear on your wedding day? It seems all the stores ended up having these. Hope you can find one this year too!
If your mom is into genealogy, buy one of the books you write your family history in. You may have to order these, but I was able to buy one. The ones I have are called Our Family History and Our Family Tree. They sell for around $10. I tried to find these on Amazon.com, but could not find them. I ordered one from Books-a-Million.
