..In the fall of 2003 I finally got to go home..I put roses on all of the graves of any known relatives..the roses looked so real..I put red ribbon on them and notes..

There are links for maps too..this is how I was able to find the cemeteries..I found all I was looking for except one..I took some pictures if I can ever get them developed and learn how to scan on this computer..

This page has listings for some burials for Sullivan County..there is a SURNAME only done in 1998 for Old Bethel and Evergreen Cemeteries in Bethel..also some detailed burials for EVERGREEN..HURD..OLD BETHEL..RIVERVIEW..ST FRANCIS..VAN KEUREN..??..(not sure) Cemeteries

..Cemeteries..

Old Bethel or Presbyterian Cemetery is located on Rt 17b across from Evergreen Cemetery the current in use cemetery in 2000. Many people will tell you this is the Jewish Cemetery. The Jewish Cemetery is behind this, to the side.

The entrance is probably large enough for a horse and carriage to pass through. This cemetery is not in real bad shape, a little work would help. I do want to see about a sign being erected telling what cemetery this is. To me it looks as if some headstones have been lost. The old Pintler Cemetery is really not too far from here, but way back in the woods.

Old Bethel

Headstones of Anna wo Nicholas 5-5-1874 age 69 John H 1-23-70 7-28-71 son Mary E 12-17-1867-12-8-69 dau of Henry and Mary E Brucher. These are located in the very back on the right side towards the road. Anna's husband Nicholas was still alive in 1900. There is plenty of room here for all the Bruchers we can not find any headstones for. Nicholas could be buried here or in the new cemetery too. There is plenty of room in the new cemetery where I am told some Bruchers are buried.
